How to participate in Bybit’s Token Splash events

Bybit’s Token Splash events allow new and existing users to earn allocations of newly listed tokens by meeting event-specific deposit and trading requirements. These events run for pre-specified periods, e.g., one month, during which the rewards are distributed via token prize pools or on a first-come, first-served basis.

Token Splash campaigns are an easy and beginner-friendly way to earn crypto rewards with Bybit in potentially promising, new tokens.

Key Takeaways:

• Bybit Token Splashes are campaigns that allow you to earn rewards in newly listed tokens by meeting event-specific deposit and trading volume requirements.

• Individual user accounts with verified identity outside of the EEA are eligible to join these events.

What are Token Splashes?

Bybit’s Token Splashes are time-limited events that let users earn rewards by trading and/or depositing eligible cryptocurrencies. You’re rewarded with newly listed tokens when you meet the trading or depositing requirements set for each Token Splash event. Many of these events require depositing or trading the same token being awarded, while other events may require deposits and trades in a token different from the one being distributed as a reward.

There are two main event types: Deposit to Earn and Trade to Earn. As their names suggest, the former requires you to accumulate a certain deposit volume as a key requirement, while the latter features trading volume requirements. Some events might have both deposit and trading volume requirements.

Also, certain events are specifically designed for new users, while others are open to both new and existing Bybit customers.

All events are open to users who have achieved at least know your customer (KYC) Level 1 on Bybit. If you haven’t verified your identity via the basic Level 1 KYC procedure, please refer to this guide on how to do it. Identity Verification on Bybit allows you to participate in Token Splashes, qualify for a 20 USDT reward and access the full range of products on the platform.

Please note that Bybit users in European Economic Area (EEA) countries cannot participate in Token Splash events.

How to qualify for Token Splashes

Besides achieving Level 1 KYC, participation in Token Splashes is limited to individual accounts, as business users aren’t eligible. You must use your Main Account, not any Subaccounts, to join the campaigns. However, any trading volume accumulated via Subaccounts will count toward meeting the requirements.

Ways to earn rewards

Deposit to Earn events require you to accumulate a deposit volume of eligible tokens, or to purchase them via USDT to meet the minimum requirements of each campaign.

Trade to Earn events typically require achieving a certain trading volume via Spot trades for relevant tokens.

The exact deposit and trading requirements vary for each event. Rewards are credited to your Funding account within seven days after the event ends.

In some events, you may earn rewards as a share of the total prize pool. In other cases, rewards may be based on a first-come, first-served basis, with a specific limit on the number of users who can receive rewards. Thus, if the cap on the number of users is reached, you may no longer be eligible for an allocation.

Reward calculation

For Deposit to Earn events, all eligible deposits — including on-chain transfers, P2P transactions and One-Click Buy purchases — made during the event period will be included in the calculation. For example, if you deposited 50 USDT via an on-chain transfer, 30 USDT via a P2P transaction and 40 USDT via a One-Click Buy purchase, your total counted deposit volume will be 120 USDT.

For Trade to Earn events, eligible transactions include Spot trades via the Main Account, Subaccounts, and Trading Bots like the Spot Grid or DCA Bot. API-based transactions are not eligible. Based on your total eligible trading volume, your share of the rewards from the total prize pool is typically calculated using the formula below:

(Your total spot trading volume/total spot trading volume of all participating users) * total prize pool

In other words, the higher your trading volume, the larger your share of the prize pool.

Please note that withdrawals don’t affect accumulated deposits or reward eligibility.

Tips for maximizing rewards

To maximize your chances of winning Token Splash rewards, ensure that you meet or exceed any minimum deposit or trading volume requirements as early as possible. Try to focus on tokens with higher reward potential. Also, trade from your Main Account, or include any contributions from Subaccounts.
