What is Bybit Web3? (The complete guide)

Bybit Web3 is the newly revamped on-chain trading platform offered by the Bybit exchange. It’s built to let users access early-stage, high-potential and viral crypto tokens without needing any prior experience with decentralized finance (DeFi) or on-chain wallets. Bybit Web3 combines the security and simplicity of a centralized exchange (CEX) with the flexibility and access of a decentralized (DEX) one — removing the usual barriers that keep most retail users out of early token markets. There’s no need to create a wallet, manage seed phrases or worry about holding specific gas tokens — because everything runs directly through your Bybit-based Unified Trading Account (UTA).

You can trade on the platform using Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Solana (SOL) and Bybit Staked SOL (bbSOL), with all transactions settled in real time. Bybit Web3 is designed to streamline on-chain participation for beginners, as well as those looking to get in ASAP on trending early-stage coins.

Key Takeaways:

• Bybit Web3 is a unified platform that bridges CEX-level security and convenience with DEX-level access to on-chain tokens on the Solana network.

• Bybit Web3 removes the need for crypto wallets and gas tokens, blends CEX reliability with DEX access, offers access to curated early-stage tokens and features a user-friendly interface.

What is Bybit Web3?

Bybit Web3 is an integrated on-chain trading platform within the Bybit ecosystem. It’s built to simplify access to DeFi opportunities for anyone unfamiliar with blockchain-based operations, wallets or gas tokens. Bybit Web3 lets you trade directly on the Solana network using your UTA — so there’s no need for seed phrases, wallets on the underlying chain or gas tokens. The platform acts as a bridge between CEX and decentralized exchange (DEX) functionalities, combining the ease of centralized trading with on-chain opportunities.

You can access the platform via the Bybit App to browse curated digital assets, view basic charts and place buy or sell orders in just a few taps. Tokens are sourced from Solana-based DEXs. There are two valuable features offered by Bybit Web3 that highlight potential target assets — New Coin Sniper and Hot Coin Screener. The former highlights newly launched tokens to help you act faster than other investors, while the latter lists trending, vetted tokens that have potential.

Trades are executed in full or canceled if there isn’t enough liquidity, with no partial fills. You can use USDT, USDC, SOL or bbSOL directly from your Bybit UTA account. Gas fees are automatically handled by converting a portion of your payment token at the current on-chain rate, so you also don’t need to manage any gas balances manually.

Tokens you buy are held within the Web3 section of your account, and can’t be withdrawn or moved elsewhere. You can sell them at any time, and the proceeds go straight back to your UTA. Everything is processed in real time, with no need to interact with external wallets or manage private keys. For both beginners and more experienced traders who want quicker access to early-stage tokens, Bybit Web3 offers a streamlined alternative to direct on-chain trading, saving you time and costs while greatly reducing the overall complexity of decentralized trading.

Benefits of Bybit Web3

No wallet or gas tokens needed

Bybit Web3 removes the complexity of managing wallets and gas tokens, which usually comes with on-chain trading. Typically, you need a separate noncustodial wallet and native gas tokens (such as SOL) to cover transaction fees, which can confuse and bog down newcomers. For instance, wallet incompatibility often leads to the problem of lost funds for beginning traders. Wallet security is also a recurring problem. With the variety of wallet types and terminology thrown around — hot wallets, cold wallets, cloud wallets, keyless wallets and more — things can get really confusing for traders new to the game.

With Bybit Web3, you trade directly using your UTA balance after logging into your Bybit account, so there’s no need to create an external wallet.

Gas fees, another confusing element of traditional on-chain trading, are also taken care of within Bybit Web3. When you place an order, the system automatically converts a portion of your payment token — whether USDT, USDC, SOL or bbSOL — into the necessary gas fees at the current on-chain rate. This automatic conversion means you never have to manage or hold native gas tokens separately or worry about topping them up.

CEX meets DEX

Bybit Web3 combines the core strengths of CEXs and DEXs to deliver a unique trading experience. From the CEX side, you get access to a user-friendly interface, robust security, account protections and verified access on a trusted platform. Your UTA also acts as a single gateway to various products and markets, all under one roof.

On the DEX side, you gain quick, straightforward access to tokens native to Solana without the usual complexity, making it easy for beginning traders. This hybrid approach reduces the technical barriers and friction typical of pure DEX trading, and preserves the ability to tap into emerging assets unavailable on centralized venues.

Curated early-stage tokens

Bybit Web3 features two tools that help you spot promising tokens. The New Coin Sniper surfaces newly launched tokens on DEXs, enabling you to act quickly on fresh projects before their wider exposure.

Meanwhile, the Hot Coin Screener offers a curated list of trending and verified tokens, carefully selected to highlight assets with strong potential. While the Sniper focuses on immediate access to launches, the Screener helps you discover vetted projects that have established momentum. Together, these tools reduce the time and effort required to identify promising tokens, and they provide a more reliable way to participate early in projects before they achieve mainstream availability.

How to use Bybit Web3

Step 1 — Open the Bybit App and log in to your Bybit account. Tap on Trade in the bottom navigation bar. Then, tap on the menu icon in the top-left corner and select Web3. Alternatively, you can find Web3 below the Quick Access section on the app’s home screen.

Step 2 — On the Web3 homepage, you’ll see the sections for New Coin Sniper and Hot Coin Screener.

Step 3 — Tap on or search for the token you want to trade. This will take you to the Trade page, where you can switch between Chart and Overview for more detailed information.

[Please note that the chart above and all the other screenshots in the article are for reference only, and that this information doesn't constitute investment advice.]

Step 4 — Tap on Buy or Sell to start configuring your order. Enter the amount you want to trade and select your payment token — USDT, USDC, SOL or bbSOL. The system will automatically calculate the estimated amount of tokens you’ll receive. For buy orders, you can use the percentage bar to quickly set the trade value based on your available UTA balance. If needed, tap on the + icon to deposit or transfer funds.

Choose your order mode — Priority on Success increases the chance of filling your trade, but may cause higher slippage. Priority on Price aims for a better rate, but decreases the chance that your order will fill. Some tokens may only allow the Auto mode. Token prices update every five seconds to ensure fair execution.

Step 5 — After configuring, tap on Buy or Sell again. Review your order details on the confirmation page, then tap on Confirm to complete the transaction.

To view your purchased tokens, go to the Web3 homepage and tap on Assets at the bottom to see your total balance and token breakdown. You can also check your Web3 order history, or tap on a token for details.

Alternatively, access your tokens from Assets → Account → Web3 on the app home screen, or check your holdings below the chart on a token’s Trade page.
